Stephanie's passion for food and cooking roots from memories of dinners at home with her late grandmother as a kid. Food was love and happiness, extended from grandma's table full of classic Cantonese dishes. The dishes were simple, but they were never prepared short of heart and soul. And this became the basis of Stephanie's cooking philosophy.
After spending 9 years as a banker at HSBC, Stephanie decided to follow her heart in changing her career. First getting her Culinary Arts Diploma from world renowned Michelin starred Chef Alain Ducasse then stints with Michelin starred restaurants, Hostellerie de Plaisance in Saint Emilion, France and local hero, Amber, Stephanie earned her chops and started Roots Eatery in June 2017.
